Make an entrance for your event and bump the page content aside to show your wares. We also encourage incorporating this animated entrance as part of your creative story rather than treating it as just a mechanism. For example, the page can be seen as being bumped by a person or an object deliberately.
Deliverables for your Sliding Room depend on what it will have and do. But basic deliverables are:
The Sliding Room is an ideal platform to show off your video content. As a guide, FLVs should be less than 3.5MB. Please contact your Yahoo! Sales representative should you require more.
Please note that we do not recommend replacing what can be done in Flash animation with video because this tends to be inefficient and result in very large video files. This is especially problematic if the video becomes the Sliding Room itself, rather than being a part of it. Please keep in mind that the initial load of the Sliding Room should be less than 300KB to ensure as many users as possible see the ad. Please see our video download speed guide for more information.
We recommend the use of the Expand tab, which is a small floating button that plays next to the 300×250 / 350×200 unit on every impression. It creates a visual interruption without covering page content and hence is an effective yet user-friendly way to draw attention to your event. On user click it will then open the Sliding Room.
