Mobile Guidelines

In accordance with our Yahoo! Advertising Guidelines, there shall be no premium rate numbers used in association with a ‘Click to Call’ functionality on any mobile advertisement nor may a user be re-directed to a premium rate, non-local, or any other number which might cause higher than expected call costs for the consumer.

The text “Please note this will be a chargeable call” together with any other material Terms & Conditions that apply must be included clearly in the advertisements.

Other Guidelines

  • Linking URLs must link to a mobile website specifically optimized for mobile phones (no websites)
  • 3rd Party Ad Serving restricted to approved vendors only
  • Animated ads are accepted with a maximum of 4 frames and 0.333fps (1 frame every 3 seconds)
  • If being supplied to Y!, No special characters in the linking URL (Ex: @, %, $, &, etc.)
  • No instant messaging
  • Must be WML and XHTML compliant
  • Landing pages cannot have links to download IM or VoIP
  • All campaigns will go through an internal testing process before launch
