This is a clickable video player ad format that provides the most direct and intuitive interaction between the video and the user: the user is able to click on the video itself to go to the product landing page.

Commonly also known as ‘prerolls’, these video player ads play periodically before video content on the Yahoo! network. When the video ad first starts, there is an invitation on the video to entice the user to interact with the video and find out more. The invitation is ‘Mouse here for more’ in the local language and is not customisable.
When the user’s mouse is over the video, the advertiser’s text or image call to action then appears. The user can click anywhere on the video through to the landing page.
Our preferred source format is QuickTime; however, we can also accept Windows Media, MPEG-2, DV, AVI (certain proprietary codecs may not work) and MP4. We also prefer full frame NTSC or Pal video, but as a minimum we ask for 640×480 for 4×3 video or 640×360 for 16×9 video. The reason we ask for these frame sizes is that players throughout the site display up to those sizes and we would like to keep the quality of the videos uniform. Our minimum settings are as follows for 4×3 and 16×9 content (Feel free to increase bandwidth to increase quality):
